Without any special promotions, Coursera Plus cost $59/month or $399/year with a 14-day money-back guarantee.

When compared to the $49/month per Professional Certificate (Think of Certificate programs taught by Google, Meta, UofM, etc), the $59/month is very cheap. Price point is one of the main reasons why Coursera is by far my favorite Online Learning Platform. However, you will need to keep in mind that there are quite a few courses that are excluded from being accessible under this plan. Datacamp was among the first three online learning platforms I started with, and it played a crucial role in igniting my passion for data science and coding in Python.

As I delved deeper into the platform, I appreciated the extensive library of courses covering essential topics such as data analysis, visualization, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and popular programming languages like Python, R, and SQL. What made the learning experience even more engaging were the hands-on, interactive coding exercises and real-world projects that allowed me to gain valuable experience and build a solid foundation in data-related skills.

I have used Datacamp to strictly focus on Data Science and Data Engineering courses on the platform. The program itself was challenging and I did learn a whole lot. However, same as Codecademy, there might have been a bit too much handholding. Until this very day I find the best programs are the ones that try to take training wheels off ASAP.

Udacity was the first online learning platform I turned to when I decided to dive into full-stack web development. Specializing in technology and programming, Udacity offers practical, project-based courses called Nanodegrees that help learners develop in-demand skills and advance their careers in the tech industry.

From my experience, I can't stress the importance of selecting a program with an instructor enough you can easily understand and follow. A well-structured course plan and a clear teaching approach can greatly impact the learning experience.

Unfortunately, my time with Udacity could have been better than I had hoped. The instructor for my full-stack web development course didn't follow a solid plan to build up the knowledge and assumed that students already possessed a significant amount of background information. Although the program was advertised as suitable for beginners, the lack of a coherent structure made it challenging to follow and grasp the concepts.



Despite this, Udacity can be an excellent platform for learning technology and programming skills. Researching and finding the right course with an instructor with a teaching style that suits your needs and preferences is essential. By doing so, you can make the most of the platform's offerings and ultimately advance your career in the tech industry.

So basically you start with a 7-day free trial and then have to pay an annual subscription of $168 per month. Skillshare is one of the programs that doesn't take transparency very seriously when it comes to pricing information; unless you are looking at Skillshare For Teams which is $159 per user per year.

Udemy is perhaps my second most used online learning platform after Coursera. It is a widely recognized online learning platform known for its vast selection of courses spanning various subjects. With its extensive course catalog, Udemy empowers learners to acquire new skills, delve into their interests, and make significant strides in their professional development. I am so familiar with this platform that I have even gone as far as producing my own course and selling it on Udemy back in my Instagram Influencer marketing days.

Boasting thousands of courses across numerous fields, such as technology and programming, business and entrepreneurship, creative arts, personal development, health and fitness, and more, Udemy caters to a broad audience with varying goals and aspirations. This expansive selection ensures that learners can find courses that align with their unique needs, preferences, and career objectives.

One of Udemy's distinguishing features is the opportunity for learners to access courses taught by instructors with a wide range of expertise and backgrounds. This diversity allows students to choose courses that best match their learning styles and the desired level of instruction. It is also very cheap to buy courses on here whenever they run their special deals for 90% off. I know that I have racked up over 30 courses on Udemy simply due to FOMO. However, quite a few of them helped me get real certifications such as Amazon AWS Cloud Practitioner, which then helped me in my career as well. So $9.99 price tag is definitely not a bad one.
